Menopause Brief

Briefing for September 2026

Methodology

Disclosure (v1.1)

Short: We may have a financial affiliation with some entities featured on this page. Rankings are editorial; see our methodology.

Full: Disclosure: Menopause Brief is an independent educational publisher. We may have a financial affiliation with some entities featured on this site. Rank positions are determined by our published methodology. We do not provide medical care, diagnoses, or treatment.

What this page covers

Menopause Brief compares U.S.-facing telehealth programs that help adults in perimenopause or menopause address midlife weight and/or hormone care — including clinician-supervised menopause hormone therapy (MHT/HRT), related symptom care, and, where offered, medical weight-management pathways (including GLP-1 / dual-agonist programs).

We are an educational publisher, not a clinic, pharmacy, or telehealth provider. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or “book a consult.”

In scope

  • Telehealth programs with a clear menopause hormone pathway and/or midlife metabolic / medical weight pathway
  • Programs that publish enough public detail for us to describe care model, access, and review signals honestly

Out of scope

  • Brick-and-mortar-only practices with no evaluable telehealth pathway
  • Unlicensed “research hormone” or peptide sellers without a clinician encounter
  • Programs we cannot identify with a stable public brand / site

Ranking philosophy (Wave 1)Wave 1 rankings are review-signal heavy. Public customer feedback — especially Trustpilot and Google reviews — sits in the primary signal tier. Marketing copy, influencer quotes, and unpublished NPS do not outrank review evidence without explicit editorial justification on the ranking page.

Primary inputs (highest weight)

  1. Trustpilot TrustScore and review volume

Higher scores with larger sample sizes outrank thin high scores. We note when a profile shows weak recent activity relative to lifetime score, or when a profile appears unclaimed / extremely thin.

  1. Google Business / Maps reviews (when a stable public profile can be verified)

Used as a second independent consumer-experience signal. If we cannot confirm a live Google rating at publish time, we mark it TBD — verify before publish and do not invent numbers.

Secondary inputs (moderate weight)

  1. Fit to this ranking’s scope — menopause hormone care, midlife weight / metabolic care, or meaningful coordination of both
  2. Care model clarity — clinician access (video, messaging, async), follow-up, labs policy as described publicly
  3. Pricing / eligibility transparency — membership vs medication, insurance vs cash, state limits, FDA-approved vs compounded pathways (described educationally; compounded products are not FDA-approved finished drugs)
  4. Reputation context — BBB notes or major public enforcement items when sourced; never used to invent clinical outcomes

Explicitly excluded from scoring

2>

  • Paid placements or affiliate “boosts
  • Fabricated star ratings, review counts, prices, or patient quotes
  • Claims that any program is best for everyone” or clinically superior without published evidence
  • Predetermined public rank promises (“always #1)

How we turn signals into a rank order

  1. Inventory candidate programs with an identifiable U.S. telehealth menopause hormone and/or midlife weight offering.
  2. Capture review signals from Trustpilot (and Google when available), recording score, approximate volume, URL, and access date. Prefer primary Trustpilot pages; secondary roundups are labeled as such.
  3. Normalize caution — similar scores: larger review base ranks higher; high lifetime score with very few reviews: flag thin-sample risk; narrow-scope programs (e.g., localized genitourinary care only) may sit below broader menopause weight+hormone platforms even with strong review volume.
  4. Layer qualitative notes (care model, FDA vs compounded transparency, insurance vs cash) without inventing prices when live checkout cannot be confirmed.
  5. Publish at least 10 programs with honest TBD markers where live verification failed.

Wave 1 why this rank” blurbs are editorial navigation aids — not clinical efficacy scores and not a substitute for a licensed clinicians judgment.

Compounded vs FDA-approved medications

Many programs discuss FDA-approved hormone or obesity medicines and, separately, compounded formulations. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved as finished copies of brand products. We describe pathways as educational context only. Patients should discuss formulation type, pharmacy source, monitoring, and eligibility with a licensed clinician.

What we will not do

  • Invent Trustpilot, Google, BBB, or app-store ratings
  • Invent prices, membership fees, or “starting at” figures when not confirmed
  • Invent patient quotes or fake clinic photography
  • Tell readers to “book a consult,” diagnose, or choose a drug
  • Present rankings as medical recommendations or endorsement seals
  • Use commission / compensation disclosure language (we disclose financial affiliation only — Disclosure v1.1)

How we rank (footer stub for ranking pages)

We score programs on transparent criteria published in our methodology. Trustpilot reviews and Google reviews are heavily weighted. We also consider access model, pricing clarity, eligibility/fit information, menopause weight and hormone scope fit, and other reported experience signals. Rankings list at least 10 programs. Rank order can change when evidence or offerings change. Financial affiliations are disclosed separately and do not guarantee a rank position.

Updates & corrections

Review platforms and program terms change frequently. We re-check major Trustpilot/Google signals when we refresh a ranking packet. If a score cannot be verified live at refresh, we replace the number with TBD verify before publish rather than carrying forward an unverified figure.
